行知基地全称“南京市中小学生社会实践行知基地”，由南京市关工委、市中小学生科技活动基金会、市教育局成立于1 994年7月。至今已接待活动学生1 0万多人，并已成为新加坡等国学生的中华文化浸濡基地。
      基地依托艺莲苑、枣树研究所、南农大江浦实验农场、长江、老山及五里村农户等周边资源，设计了“学习农业科技”、“了解农村建设”、“体验农民生活”三大课程系列。学生在充满好奇与欢乐的精神享受中经受了生活的大磨练，培养自我管理能力。在关注“三农”问题中不知不觉的提升“三观(世界观、人生观、价值观)。
      基地先后被评为“南京市科普教育示范基地”、“江苏省小公民道德建设示范基地”、“江苏省青少年校外活动示范基地”、“中国青少年素质教育研究实践基地。最近，江苏省、南京市、浦口区共同决定，进步整合行知基地教育资源，对行知基地再投资8000万元，将基地建成可同时容纳2000人的省级青少年社会实践基地，新基地将被命名为“江苏省南京市青少年社会实践行知基地”。
      这里，已成为中小学生心动的生活乐园和精神家园。
                                             

                                 Xingzhi Base Introduction
          

           Xingzhi Learning Base is known as Xingzhi Experiential Learning Base for Nanjing primary and secondary school Students. It is established by Nanjing Students Welfare Committee, Nanjing primary and secondary students information technology foundation and Nanjing Education Division on July 1994.The base has so far hosted more than hundred thousand students, of which includes oversea pupils, mainly Singapore pupils. Xingzhi learning base is now a popular destination for Singapore schools to conduct their oversea immersion programme.
          There are many nearby resources within the base's compound such as Yileen Research Centre, Red dates plantation and research centre, Nanjing agriculture university experimental farm, Yangtze Jiang, Lao Shan and Wu Li Village With these variety of resources, the base has designed many programmes,like "Leaning Agriculture Modernisation",'Understanding rural village development’, and "experience rural life". Through these activities, students are able to attain more joy in learning via experiencing hardship, at the same time develop better self discipline and management ability .By participating actively in the three programmes which have strong emphasis on rural agriculture development; it can indirectly help students to cultivate a more holistic perception of their life goals.
          Xingzhi learning base has been credited as Nanjing Scientific Model Demonstration Learning Base, Jiang Su Province Civil Demonstration Learning Base, Jiang Su Province Youth Outward Bound School Learning Base and China Youth Quality Education Research and Experiential Learning Base .Recently, Jiang Su Province, Nanjing City, Pu Kou District had unanimously decided to increase more education resources for XingZhi Learning Base. An amount of 80 million will be pumped in to redevelop the base into one that can host 2000 students .The new base will be known as "Jiang Su Nanjing City Social Youth Experiential Learning Base" .This is going to be a brand new experiential learning hub which will definitely entice students and enhance their personal development.
