生于忧患而死于安乐
——《孟子·告子下》
格言大意：在忧患中得以生存和发展，在安乐中反倒会灭亡。
Main Idea:Troubles makes survival and development ;Comfort leads to destruction.
唐玄宗亡国（Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty leading his country to decline）
唐玄宗登上皇位时，正是唐朝矛盾重重的危机时刻。他实行改革，励精图治，使唐朝出现了“开元盛世”。后来，他满足于现状，整天纵情享乐，唐朝逐渐走向衰落。
Tang Dynasty was at a critical period with tangled contradiction when Li Longji became the emperor .He carried out a reform policy and made vigoroud efforts to bulid a strong country .As a result there appeared the “Peace and Prosperity of the Kaiyuan years”. Afterwards he was content with the status quo and gave himself over to pleasure so that gradually the Tang Dynasty went downhill.
