惟俭可以助廉，惟恕可以成德

格言大意：只有节俭才能廉洁，只有宽容才能使人养成好的品德。
Main Idea : One can be honest and clean only if one is thrifty .One can form good moral characters only if he is tolerant.
晏子不受车马（Yan Zi refusing hotses and carriages）
春秋时，齐国的宰相晏婴非常节俭，一件大衣穿了三十年还舍不得丢弃。晏子上朝时乘坐的是破旧的车子，来车的是劣弱的马。齐景公就问他：“先生的俸禄太少了吧？”晏子想景公解释说：“我乘这样的好马车，怎么能制止别人的奢侈呢。”
In Spring and Autumn Period , Yan Ying ,the Prime Minister of Qi was very thrifty .He hated to throw away any of garments even a coat worn for thirty years. Yanzi went to the palace in a broken carriage pulled by thin and weak horses.Qi Jinggong,the king of Qi asked him: “Is it because your salary is too little?”Yanzi explained to Emperor Jing : “If I ride in such a good carriage ,how can I stop others being luxurious?”
