——袁康《越绝书·越绝德序外传记》
格言大意：从细微处能看出明显的道理，目睹了开始就能预测到结果。
Main Ieda: We can see what is coming form one tiny clue and we can predict the result from the very beginning.
范增料事在先（Fan Zeng predicting things beforehand）
在鸿门宴上，项羽的谋士范增示意杀掉刘邦，项羽不听。刘邦逃脱后，范增用剑击碎刘邦送给他的一双玉斗，悲愤地说：“夺项王天下的，一定是这个人。”果然，在刘邦和项羽最后的决战中，项羽兵败，自刎于乌江。
During the banquet in Hongmen, Fan Zeng, the adviser of Xiang Yu, hinted him to kill Liu Bang, but Xiang Yu wouldn’t listen him. After Liu Bang escaped, Fan Zeng used a sword to smash a pair of jade cups given by Liu Bang .He said angrily: “It must be this man who takes away King Xiang’ country.” Just as Fan Zeng said, Xiang Yu was defeated in the last battle against Liu Bang and he committed suicide beside the river Wu.
