   This sentence comes from a poem written by Yue Fei who lived in the Southern Song Dynasty .It expresses the urgent desire to recover lost territory and perform worthy deeds. This sentence was spread widely later for motivating people to make the best use of their time to undertake some great cause. It suggests that people should not only regret while not accomplished anything in their old age.
