宁可玉碎，不可瓦全
——《北齐书·元景安列传》
格言大意：宁可做玉器被打碎，也不做泥瓦而保全自己。
Main Idea: One would rather be a broken piece of jade than an unbroken piece of pottery before dangers.
元景皓坚守气节（Yuan Jinghao maintaining moral integrity）
南北朝时，北齐取代了北魏，北魏的许多皇族被杀。北魏皇族人人自危，他们商量觉得改姓高，以免于一死。只有元景皓不肯为了保全生命而改姓，后来被杀掉了。
In the period of the Northen and Southern Synasties ,Northen Qi replaced Northen Wei and many royal members of the Northen Wei were killed.All the royal members of Northen Wei felt hr danger .They discussed changing their family name from Yuan into Gao to escape from death.Only Yuan Jinghao refused to do it and he was killed.
