格言大意：大海不嫌弃任何水流，因此能成就它的大；高山不拒绝任何土石，因此能成就它的高。

Main Idea: The sea becomes vast because it accepts every stream of water .The mountain becomes high because it accepts every piece of soil or stone.

曹操既往不咎（Cao Cao forgiving his man’s past misdeeds）

    曹操率领军队打败袁绍后，搜到一捆信件，全是他的部下与袁绍按相勾结的信。有人建议把写信的人全都抓起来杀掉。曹操说：“袁绍力量强大时，我自己都保全不了，有怎能责怪这些人呢？”他下令把信烧掉，不予追究。
    Cao Cao defeated Yuan Shao and found a bunch of letters which were all written by his men to Yuan Shao for colluding with each other secretly. It was suggested that all the people who wrote the letters should be arrested and killed. Cao Cao said: “When Yuan Shao was very powerful, I couldn’t even protect myself .How can I criticize these people? “He ordered the letters to be burned and didn’t conduct an investigation.
