——陆游《冬夜读书示子聿》

格言大意：古人做学问不遗余力，年少时开始努力学习直到老年时刚刚有所成就。

Main Idea: Ancient people did their utmost to study. They started learning when they were young and only when they reached old age did they begin to achieve something.

王羲之的“墨池”（The ink pond of Wang Xizhi）

   王羲之从四五岁开始练字，直到五十九岁去世为止。相传，他曾在一个水池边苦练书法，日久天长，池水都因为洗笔而染黑了。长期坚持不懈的努力，终于使他赢得“书圣”的桂冠。
   Wang Xizhi started practicing handwriting when he was four or five years old and never stopped until he died at the age of fifty-nine. It was said that he used to practice calligraphy hard beside a pond. As the years went by, the water in the pond became black because he always washed his writing brush in it. Because of his long-term unremitting efforts, he finally won his the laurel of “The Sage of Calligraphy”.
