格言大意：玉石不经过雕琢，就不会成为精美的器具；人不学习，就不会懂得道理。

Main Idea: Jade won’t make exquisite utensils without cutting and polishing. People won’t understand the hows and whys without learning.

孙权劝学（Sun Quan advocating learning）

   三国时候的吕蒙是东吴的一员猛将，只是读书比较少。孙权耐心地劝他多读一些书。吕蒙开始认真读书，手不释卷。鲁肃同吕蒙商议事情，他惊喜地发现吕蒙大有长进。
   Lv Meng was a brave general of Eastern Wu in the Three Kingdoms period but he hadn’t attended school for very long. Sun Quan tried with patience to persuade him to read more .Lv Meng started to read earnestly and always had a book in his hand. Lu Su came to discuss things with Lv Meng and found in surprise that Lv Meng had made great progress.
