华而不实（Flashy but without substance)

   春秋时，晋国大臣阳处父出使卫国，回国途中在一个旅店过夜。店主见相貌堂堂，觉得他会大有所为，便决定跟随他一起走。没过几天，店主又回来了。原来他发现阳处父身上有不少毛病，恐怕将来不会有什么好结果。一年后，阳处父果然被杀。
In the Spring and Autumn Period ,Yang Chufu the minister of Jin stayed in a hotel halfway back from a diplomatic mission to Wei.The keeper saw Yang Chufu's good looking and believed that Yang Chufu must have a brilliant future.So he decided to follow him. Several days later, the keeper came back again. He bad found that Yang Chufu turned out to be a person with many shortmings which might not result in very good future. Yang Chufu was actually killed a year later.
