杨潮观救民(Yang Chaoguan saving people)

清朝人杨潮观已经七十多岁了。朝廷拍派他去泸州做官。他觉得自己年纪大了，不愿意去。当听说这个地方正在受灾，百姓挨饿，他毅然同意了朝廷的安排。杨潮观上任后，集合官府所有钱款，设粥厂，解救了许多普通百姓。
Yang Chaoguan, who lives in the Qing Dynasty, was already over seventy. The government assigned him as an official of Lu Zhou, He felt he was too old for that and was unwilling to go. When he heard that the area was hit by a natural disaster and people were suffering from hunger, he accepted the arrangement by the government. After Yang Chaoguan took up his post, he collected all the money of local government to open a charity office to boil porridge which saved many common people.
