临难毋苟免
——《礼记·曲礼上》
格言大意：在灾难与危险面前，不要苟且偷生而失去做人的气节。
Main Idea: When facing disasters or danger, we should not sacrifice our moral integrity to stay alive.
谭嗣同为变法而死（Tan Sitong died for reform）
清朝末年，朝政腐败。康有为、梁启超等上书要求改革，发动戊戌变法。变法失败，朝廷派兵来捉拿谭嗣同。人们劝他躲一躲，他严词拒绝。谭嗣同毫无惧色，慷慨就义。
At the end of the Qing Dynadty, the government was very corrupt.Kang Youwei and Liang Qichao and others submitted a proposal to the emperor suggesting reform, whice started the Reform Movement in 1898.The reform failed and the government sent an army to arrest Tan Sitong .People tried to persuade him to hide himself but he firmly refused to de so.Tan Sitong died a hero’s death without fear.
